Kinect looks fun. I like a casual game every once in a while if it is done correctly. You probably do too if you really think about it. I consider games like Echochrome to be casual and it is really cool. Tumble looks cool on the Move. I think it is fair that 360 get some of that pie.
Plus they have some core-looking games. I know the gameplay is limited with Kinect, but that doesn't mean the experiences there are not worthwhile. I think Microsoft is studying Mov...
I do both. Plus I listen to Pandora on my PS3 all the time. Lovin' new wave music right now!
It is internet and TV over fiber optic networks. Its coverage is extremely spotty. Your next door neighbor can have it, but you are ineligible to receive it.
I've been on the waiting list for 3 years.
I like Plus as a discount club for the Playstaton store with first access to betas - both games and features. I don't want a tiered version like LIVE.
Being the first on a roll out of features would be cool.
I think it is going to be the Netflix app, just like with Hulu though.
Can't Truss IT, But Brothers Gonna Work It Out!
Concerns with gaming are valid and have been around for awhile. People need to remember that the margins MS has with Windows/Office blows away what they can make with the 360. So the question shareholders have is "Why bother?".
I doubt the XBox brand is going to go anywhere. Although shareholders have strongly questioned the wisdom of Microsoft's 360, Zune, etc., it is the other areas of EDD, more than the 360, that is the issue. Plus
Microsoft has c...
I complete Heavenly Sword a while back. I hope there is a sequel, but till then I still have high hopes for Enslaved. I'm interested in the world, story and characters. Although, I must remind myself how much I was in love with Damnation before that steamy pile of crap was released.
Hell I'm going to play it anyway. It'll be used.
Zombies have been the new Nazi (canned bad guy) for almost a decade. How about the real "zombies", the undead of European lore...vampires?
What I mean by real is that traditional view of vampires before Dracula were more like the American zombie. Voodoo zombies don't eat brains. They're just poor conversationalist and bad dancers who go back to being just dead soon after the party is over.
Damn good point.
I think Move is reaching a wider base than Kinect with Coke alone. I mean everyone drinks soda - across age groups and cultures - unlike wireless providers and motor vehicles. And they likely buy a soda every day.
Justin Bieber is brilliant tho'. They should follow with more of the same. Put Kinect on that shill Oprah too, MS.
I played the Heavy Rain demo, and the first thing I thought was "This would be absolutely fabulous on the Wii. I hope it is on Move. No..I know it will be on Move. It's too obvious, perfect...perfectly obvious. This game could be a killer app for Move. OMG! Sony already has the killer app for Move! Those bastards!"
I don't know remember if I'd call it a killer app, but I wanted to play it using the Move first. Thanks for letting me know my gambit w...
I think a game like Heavy Rain can straddle the line between hardcore and casual. I'm afraid the author is right that it becomes a point a click adventure...sorta like Myst, but I don't think it takes away from the game, save perhaps the difficulty.
I'm buying the Move edition, but I hope I can play with the DS3 as well. Best of Both Worlds.
Simple.
Somebody other than Kotick should be doing these interviews. This isn't classy at all. So what's next?
Let's get gangster - just from CVG:
"Kotick's relationship with studio talent is well documented in litigation," an EA spokesperson told CVG this evening.
"His company is based on three game franchises - one is a fantastic persistent world he had nothing to do with; one is in steep dec...
I have more respect for Jack Thompson as a gamer than Bobby Kotick.
EA has won back many a gamer this generation and have the "heart and soul" of the Call of Duty franchise working for them. Activision - who wouldn't be shit without Blizzard - needs to be more like EA.
Kotick needs to be fired.
Proves nothing. I would love for the PS3 to have it, but let's not get our hopes up shall we? Recipe for disappointment right there.
Spamming will get you nowhere! Don't repost in the same article, even if it is your own. Waste of bubbles.
Doesn't mean it is coming soon. Doesn't mean it is coming at all.
You assume that EA and Sony will indeed reach a resolution with the compatibility problem...sooner than later no less.
You also assume that EA is the only reason cross game chat is not being implemented.
This type of flawed reasoning I expect from our respective fanboy nations.
I noticed the same thing. It wasn't showing off the games at all, rather than the 'you are the controller', which may or may not be enough to sell Kinect.
U almost made me puke.
Getting the PSEye not to twist to the side while it is draped over my flat-planet was a minor struggle without a little electrical tape. I wonder if that behemoth of a camera in Kinect will have something that lets you easily put it on top of a TV.
I only need three feet to play MAG. Counting the length of the TV stand, that's a little over two feet. I played Tumble for an hour last night just four feet away from my PSEye, kicking back on my couch with some sweet tea a...
